Kara grew up in Belleville, ON, where she was an active child with a particular passion for sports, especially basketball. Her journey took a pivotal turn while studying Human Kinetics at the University of Guelph, when an injury sustained during varsity basketball sparked her interest in Osteopathy and its distinct healing methods.
After completing her degree, Kara pursued a career as a Kinesiologist and Strength and Conditioning Coach. While growing and learning in this field, she felt there was more that she could offer her clients. In 2016, she took the step to advance her education by enrolling in the Masters in Practice Diploma of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences (M.OMSc) program at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in Hamilton, ON. She graduated in 2020 and has been practicing Osteopathy ever since.
Kara is deeply passionate about providing Osteopathic care to a diverse range of patients and enjoys incorporating her knowledge gained through her Functional Range Mobility training into her treatments. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time exploring outdoor trails with her two dogs, Ash and Kali.
Kara is a proud member in good standing of Osteopathy Canada (OSTCAN), the Ontario Osteopathic Association (OOA), as well as the Canadian Kinesiology Alliance (CKA).
